Oregon is home to many Cascade volcanoes. Mt. Mazama, a stratovolcano, collapsed and filled with water, known as Crater Lake. While the lake was beautiful, we were absolutely fascinated by the shield volcano features at Newberry. And Multnomah Falls is a Portland-area must-see.
